NEW Foxx Collection Feature: Beakers & Graduated Cylinders

NEW Foxx Collection Feature: Beakers & Graduated Cylinders

Article Written by Isabella Granara

Foxx Life Sciences offers a variety of options for beakers, which are available in either plastic or glass. Our plastic beakers from Abdos Life Sciences are manufactured in a molding facility using high purity virgin materials which conform to US FDA 21 CFR regulations. Our glass beakers by Borosil® comply with ISO 3819 and DIN 12331. All beaker products are no exception to our strict, high quality standards at Foxx Life Sciences! Take a look at our plastic or glass beakers on our site.

Beakers, which are a staple in the laboratory environment, are used to hold, heat, or mix samples. Foxx’s beakers come equipped with spouts for easy pouring of liquid. If our customers choose to buy our plastic beakers, they will also be given the option of whether or not they want a beaker with a rectangular handle, which allows for better handling and pouring of the beaker, while also reducing the risk of spills. Our Stackable Tapered Beakers’ (also plastic) stacking style can save space in the lab and makes them easy to handle.

Our plastic beakers have distinct advantages of high transparency and higher chemical resistivity, whereas our glass beakers have a uniform wall thickness and stress-free annealed glass that make them ideal for heating or cooling liquids!

Although our plastic beakers come equipped with silk screened graduations that offer precise measurements, Borosil® Beakers are not used calibrated for volume measurement. Luckily, Foxx offers both plastic and glass graduated cylinders that are also used for volume measurements– take a look at our cylinder products, in either plastic or glass by clicking on the links. Graduated cylinders can estimate the volume of liquid to the nearest .1 mL.

Foxx’s glass graduated cylinders by Borosil® are individually calibrated by automatic, laser-controlled calibration equipment in an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited calibration facility. Calibration is the process of configuring an instrument to provide a result for specific samples. Learn more about the process of calibration here! Like our plastic beakers, Abdos’ plastic measuring cylinders comes equipped with a spout for easy pouring. Our plastic cylinders are made of polypropylene and have a hexagonal base for stability.
