New Product Launch - EZCellGene® Single-Use Assembly

New Product Launch - EZCellGene® Single-Use Assembly

The EZCellGene® Single-Use Bottle Assembly is engineered for precise, sterile, small-volume fluid transfer, this system supports gentle media handling while maintaining a fully closed and validated fluid pathway. It is purpose-built for laboratories and manufacturing environments focused on cell and gene therapy development.

The EZCellGene® Single-Use Assembly is a ready-to-use bottle-based fluid transfer system designed for low-volume feeding, sampling, and transfer in closed single-use workflows. The system uses true small-bore tubing with an internal diameter of 1/16 inch and an outer diameter of 3/16 inch, enabling controlled, low-shear fluid flow that protects sensitive cells during handling.

A defining feature of the assembly is its seamless over-molded silicone connection, which removes traditional joint interfaces that are prone to leakage or misalignment. This creates a continuous sterile pathway from bottle to connector, reducing contamination risk and improving process reliability.

The assembly is compatible with both EZBio® Bottle and EZBio®pure TR formats, offering volume flexibility from 30 mL up to 2 L. Each unit is gamma irradiated and supplied ready to use, eliminating the need for in-house assembly or validation.

Key Features and Benefits

Ready-to-use single-use assembly

Supplied fully assembled and sterilized, removing the need to source, assemble, or validate individual components.

Over-molded silicone interface

Eliminates manual connection points, reducing leak risk and maintaining a closed sterile fluid path.

True small-bore tubing

The 1/16-inch internal diameter supports precise flow control and minimizes dead volume, critical for low-volume operations.

Connector flexibility

Available with plugs, Luer lock connectors, or MicroCNX® from CPC to support closed system integration.

Optimized for sensitive cell types

Designed to support stem cells, iPSCs, organoids, and CAR-T workflows that require gentle feeding and minimal mechanical stress.

Customization to Support Closed System Processing

Recognizing that cell and gene therapy workflows vary widely, the EZCellGene® platform offers multiple customization options. Connector selection can be tailored to match existing process hardware, and assemblies can be configured to integrate into closed systems without introducing additional manipulation steps.

Optional integration with NovaSeal® tube separation technology enables aseptic disconnection within closed workflows, further supporting contamination control during sampling or transfer events.

This modularity allows laboratories to maintain standardized processes while adapting assemblies to specific protocol requirements.

Applications Across Cell and Gene Therapy

The EZCellGene® Single-Use Assembly is designed for use in both research and manufacturing environments where sterility, control, and cell viability are critical. Typical applications include:

  • Cell culture feeding and media replenishment

  • Sampling and transfer in closed single-use systems

  • Cell and gene therapy manufacturing workflows

  • Integration with small-volume bioreactors or media bottle setups

  • Laboratories working with fragile primary or stem cell populations
