Foxx Life Sciences was recently visited by U.S. Senator, Jeanne Shaheen, during Small Business Week. Also present were guests from the State of NH, Small Business Association, NH Tech Alliance, NH Business and Industry Association, Provident Bank, and Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce, among others attending the event.
The southern New Hampshire developer and manufacturer of lab equipment, Foxx Life Sciences, has doubled the number of employees six times in the past ten years, have an annual sales growth increase over 40% for six of the past seven years. To continue funding this level of company growth, more space, employees and capital is needed.
Senator Shaheen helped create the STEP program in 2010, that is used by Foxx. The program gives grants — supported by a mix of federal and state funds — to small businesses to help with increasing foreign exports and international marketing.
Small businesses “create two out of three new jobs and they have produced 16 times more patents than larger companies, so it’s a good place to invest,” Shaheen said.
